Because your data is so important to your business, we at BookingPlus have gone to extraordinary lengths to keep it safe and secure.  In fact, BookingPlus operates in an environment that is far safer than many security-conscious businesses. 

In addition to the security protocols built into BookingPlus, we use a number of resources to keep your data available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

• Our servers are housed in one of UUNet's state-of-the-art internet data centers – facilities that boasts redundant power supplies, air conditioning, and fire suppression systems, as well as redundant fiber optic connections to the major Internet backbones.  UUnet is one of the premier hosting companies in the world, serving clients including Lycos, Citibank, and many other major corporations. 
  

• All of our production servers have a duplicate ‘cold standby server’ waiting to go online in the event of a problem.  We periodically switch to the cold standby servers to test their functionality.
  

• All of our disk storage subsystems use the latest redundancy technology to insure that no single drive failure will interfere with BookingPlus’ functionality.
  

• Our disk arrays and database servers have redundant power supplies.
  

• Our servers are monitored 24 hours a day from two locations (one on the West coast and one on the East coast).
  

• All of our equipment is locked in a cage. Only authorized personnel can access the cage and only after visual identification by a guard. We must go through four locked doors to reach the equipment.
  

• Surveillance cameras record all personnel movement and activity in the data center.

We have also taken a number of other steps to ensure that your database remains secure and confidential.

• Every customer has a separate database.
  

• All databases are password protected.
  

• Our software encrypts any sensitive data before
  it passes over the Internet.
  

• All customer databases are backed up to tape seven times per day at regular intervals.
